How to win & why the crowd matters
Every runner moves only forward. On your first move, advance one lane. Count everyone already at the landing lane before arrival: this sets the second move distance. In strategic mode, choose a different runner for that second move.
If the first move lands in an empty lane or the far home, the turn ends. Full intermediate lanes hold 6 pieces; when your destination is full, skip onward to the next available lane. Passing through full lanes is allowed.
A second move landing in an empty non-home lane earns one extra turn. Only one extra turn is allowed before the opponent plays.
Once Coral is completely below Indigo, finish the current round and score: far home 5, next lane 3, next 2, next 1, other lanes 0. Most points wins. Watch the point labels beside the board.
Edition: default short caravan and crossing study are added variants. Standard Linja uses 12 pieces per side. No dice or captures; the lane population is the engine.
